• From 2001 - 2018, Michael Marcon was the founder, CEO, and Chairman of Equity Risk Partners, Inc., the only global, full service, insurance brokerage, risk management consulting and employee benefits firm focused on the unique needs of private equity firms and their portfolio companies.  Bootstrapped from personal savings and a 2nd and 3rd mortgage on his home, he executed a successful exit from the business in 2016 with a sale to Hub International.

• From 2006 - 2015, Mr. Marcon also served as the founder and CEO of Transaction Risk Solutions, a specialty underwriting business focused on providing transactional liability insurance products to businesses engaged in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

• From 2006 - 2009, Mr. Marcon was the founder and chairman of Global Risk Advisors, a global risk management consulting firm focused on the enterprise risk management needs of technology businesses.

​

• Prior to founding Equity Risk Partners, Mr. Marcon was one of the architects of the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice at Aon Risk Services from 1993 - 2000.

• Before Aon, Mr. Marcon was a Regional Finance Manager for Transamerica Insurance Group and he started his career in 1986 as a Financial Analyst in Capital Management with CIGNA Corp.

• Mr. Marcon holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Ursinus College, where he served on the board of trustees, including a term as Chairman.  He has an MBA in Finance from Drexel University.

• Mr. Marcon resides in Door County, WI with his wife, Mary.  They have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.  In his personal time, he focuses on philanthropy as Chairman of a family foundation that provides economic support to families in need.
